OMG I've tried everything! It takes forever just to GET to that stupid boss in Heart of the Shiverpeaks and then it nukes my whole party! I've gotten his skin in blue so that he's not protected but I STILL can't get him! Someone please help! Join my party! I'll be waiting for a good group!

It took forever just to GET there, and then he wiped my whole party. I don't like taking PUG's because half the time they don't stay together and know what to do, but if I'm the only one that can carry the keg, we're screwed. I need a good PUG but I doubt I'll get one...I'm asking for people to help me or give me some kind of advice, not smart-aleck remarks.

Armor ignore skills seem to work. Brings interrupts, degens and ignore armor stuff. Then you can forget about the shell.

Or go massive prot and interrupts, and keg him.

I had decent luck got him to like 50 percent health with an unprepared interrupt AoE team. Then said f it and figure I would do it tomorrow more prepared.

There is another thread listing EXACT stuff people used.

No matter how much I agree with Omniclasm, I've never beaten this either. It's because I tried to hench it. The easiest way, in my opinion, would be to have assigned barrel grabbers that grab 3 kegs before battle and then once the wurm comes out...boom! That's all I can think of, but I'll be getting together a group eventually.

Just bring typical prot/healer monks, bring a warrior. Flag your heroes, let him aggro the warrior, and run kegs. Thats what I did, and only thing he killed was a level 11 pet.

Uhh, did you guys try following instructions?

Listen to the Dwarf. Use the barrels to take out his armor.

I did it in no time at all with just Heroes and Henchies. Piece of cake.

One tip to you guys. Get the wurm by anyhow to spawn next to the kegman, just go on again and again and again and again. When the wurm spawns to the keg guy, just go to keg guy and drop the kegs like crazy, they will damage it alot, i mean tons of damage + your henchmen can nuke behind the wall.

They will? Great! Blood Magic is life stealing I believe...Livia has that build right now. What about nuking spells and such? Or anything besides melee/physical dmg? Do those also work?

Mantra of Flame on u and your heroes or a spirit spammer with shelter shld keep u alive then bring sv for dmg and u shld be fine

OMG now I can't even get to the keg guy...my whole party wipes and I have no idea why...screw it I'm never gonna get through it.

As Engel said, check around, there's a thread with more detailed info. That aside, it's -not- just you; this boss is a bastard unless you've got a spectacular hero/hench team and micromanage them well. His Pyroclastic Shot does massive damage to a large area and will kill you if you're carrying a power keg. His Flame Burst will kill a character with death penalty in a single hit. The people who say it's easy have had 3 monks with them, for the most part. I only had two and I just barely managed to kill him on my second try when I -prepared- for him.

Spoil Victor lets you damage him without breaking his shell; I recommend bombing him twice, then taking him down to half health or lower with Spoil Victor and other direct-damage skills. Then blow off the last barrel to crack him wide open and wail on him; he takes damage quickly once his shell is off. If you have him down to 1/2 health before blowing him up you should be able to kill him for sure.

I thought it didn't move from the center but it did, a few times, and then, one of the times it spawned next to the keg dwarf. And you are right, kegspam FTW!

I brought 3 monks with me and my gf as iw mesmers. Along with 2 nuker heroes and blood necro. Owned it on the very first armor break.
